My Blog New Website

30th March

Hey Everyone

Just wanted to thank you for all of your great feedback & advice for my new Website. It was much appreciated.

Here's hoping the new site does its intended job & brings in some new sponsorship.

Speaking of Sponsorship a VERY BIG THANKYOU to my good friend Adam Chesney of Chesney's Window Cleaning for helping me out with my upcoming trip to Taiwan, you're the bomb!! Love ya!!

Now to the weekends tournaments. Saturday I played in the South Australian Open 8 Ball Titles & Sunday was the SA 10 Ball Titles, both were double elimination.  I entered these tournaments to get in some match practice before going to Taiwan.

My 1st match Saturday was unfortunately a forfeit, even though this put me through a round it meant having to play the Number 2 seed Louis Condo without having a hit before. I started out well having an 8Ball run out. Was up 2-1 at one stage but in the next 3 frames I missed 1 ball in each which cost me the match 5-2. Oh well at least I made it tough for him.

Over to the loser's side for me. I won 3 matches in a row 4-1, 4-3 & 4-3. My run came to an end courtesy of David Rothall 4-2. Happy with my performance & a last 8 finish getting me my entry fee back. Congrats to Ricky Watson on his win.

Now to Sunday for the 10Ball. History repeated itself in my 1st match I once again had a forfeit. This meant today I went straight through to play Number 1 seed James Delahunty. I played quite well taking all but 1 of my opportunities & lost 6-2.

Over to the loser's side again, where this time I got 1 round further due to a double Bye match. I played Paul Hancock who is a multiple State 8Ball Player & former snooker player. We had a very close & enjoyable match but I lost 5-4. Congrats to James Delahunty on his win.

I had never played 10 Ball in competition before & I thoroughly enjoyed it.

All in all I had a fantastic weekend, was quite happy with how I played & was relieved that under pressure I could remember some of the things I have learnt over the last few weeks.

Next tournament is the Trans Tasman Championships starting on Wednesday 15th April.

Keep potting

Lyndall
